Starting Summerlea

Whether you are an EYFS new starter to school completely or new into the school in a different year group, we will always offer you a warm welcome. You can find our prospectus here.

We strongly encourage parents to visit us for a tour of the school and the opportunity for us to get to know your child a little more before selecting us as your school of choice. Once we have had a chance to meet your child we will place them into a suitable class and get you ready with all the paperwork. We are on hand all the way through the process to ensure it is as hassle free as possible.

Moving into new year groups

All of the children will have access to enhanced transition in school and for those children who might need additional enhanced transition, we have a great relationship with our feeder schools - we can help ensure that this happens.

Moving onto Secondary School

At Summerlea, we know that being at the same school for seven years is an amazing experience. It offers security, consistency and nurture that all-through primaries pride themselves on.

When year 6 approaches its end, children are thinking about the next stage in their educational journey and transition plays a huge part in our planning and preparation during this time.

We will post any resources that might help with any of these transitions onto Dojo and via ParentMail.
